There are 53 republicans, which is more the enough to confirm. The issue is that the Senate needs 51 Senators to conduct business on the floor and three Republican Senators (Tillis, Lee, and Johnson) have tested positive for the flu. This means as things stand, there are only 50 Republican Senators who can attend Senate proceedings. (Vice President Pence doesn't matter for this purpose.) If Senate Democrats boycott the proceedings, which would seem likely, They just might be able to grind things to a halt. History shows that the minority party always has its act together, while the majority party, is always in a state of flux.

Running for VP Harris did not attend and ask questions virtual. I suspect the Republican Senators that tested Positive will vote virtual.

saw that with Harris, but right after her "questioning" she walked down the hall and got in an elevator with 6-7 other people, if she was so scared why get in an elevator shoulder to shoulder with other folks?????

According to the internet, they vote on October 22, 2020.
” Ranking member Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said that while she values the hearings and "the search for information," but said she does not understand why the process has to be rushed instead of taking two or three weeks.” Fox News

    Say what?

Yes, it’s like you team is up by a field goal with three seconds left in the game. They kick off to the other guys and they run it back for a touchdown as time expires.
