    No offense. But I never believed that BS from Century, that it was a sniper rifle. It was just so much hype, to sell them. The design of the stock, shows that it was specifically meant to be fired from a standing position. My take is that it was designed specifically, for the off-hand running boar shooting. That is popular in Europe.

    Stumbled upon one of those for sale on GB, back in 2006 when I 1st became aware of Gunbroker. Wished I was in a position to buy that one. This is the only one I have seen since then. (Alas) Again I am not in the position to grab it. Someone is going to get a very nice, very unusual rifle.

    My research/understanding (back then) indicated they had been assigned to the Stasi as Sniper rifles to be used against people trying to get over the Berlin wall.
