    Still hunting.  It snowed about 8" and got colder than normal ( was 2 degrees a couple of mornings ago) for October.   Spent 3 hours digging out of a snow drift one day.   Thawing out now, it was 40 degrees today.  Bird number aren't great but decent.  I've shot a few grouse, a coyote and of course pheasants.  Though he isn't breed to be a bird dog Bo is doing a good job busting birds out of the thick stuff.  Been some rough days but a good trip so far.

    Yes my boots are Gor-tex Danner and I'm glad I have them.

    It was awesome. Cold, like yours, but not much snow, temp's with windchill was around -5 to 25 degrees. We saw plenty of birds and did pretty good. We hunted for 5 days, and shot just shy of 50 roosters, all on public ground. Here is a picture of the second day, with 5 limits, and some tired dogs. That's me on the left, Ruby on top and Tess on the bottom.
