A trip to the range today with my Bride...trying to get through the day with some normal activity.

My Bride and I decided we were not going to sit around all day and wait for more results.  It was a beautiful day here in central MO, so we jumped into the truck and headed to an outdoor range half an hour away from our place........I tested both of my usual hunting rifles and got them where I wanted them for the season.  After that my Bride shot my Yote rifle (Sav 16 in .223) and was picking off small pieces of a pumpkin at 100 yards shot after shot.

Pretty impressive for someone that only shoots a few times a year and has never fired this rifle......We both fired a couple handguns and once again she surprised me with how well she shoots.....It was a good way to get through a tough day and refocus.

We went out for a late lunch and ice cream before heading home....I guess I had better continue to be a good boy now that I know I am no longer safe within  a few hundred yards. :o:#

How did you spend this day after....

I continued to stack odd lumber. Once done with that I pulled old fence panels out of blackberry bushes. Did some brush cutting and spread straw in bare spots in the yard. Oh, I put the SD card back in the game cam and fed the antler herd. Hay guy finished bushhogging the fields today so I wanted to keep them coming instead of spooking.

Sounds like you had a lot better day than we did. I too find that the wife shoots VERY well, for someone that doesn't shoot that often.

She spent the day sweeping pine needles and leaves off the valleys etc. on the roof.
I spent the day digging "shallow" trenches to lay some heat cable a bit underground, next to the car, to see if it will melt the snow.

It is an experiment, will see how it works next week, when we are supposed to get some more snow.
