Anyone have one and if so are they good shooters?

I always wanted one, not sure why but I like the way they look.

Thanks ahead of time.

I like mine.  I posted about it a few weeks ago.  I bought mine used and it had a 4x Simmons scope already mounted.  I made sure the screws were tight and lined it up with CCI hp.   Mine's accurate and runs well.  I squirrel hunted with it one day this year and was 5 for 5 on head shots.  Of course there were plenty of squirrels and I took my time.

I had a 552 for many years and I probably shot it more than any .22 rimfire rifle I've owned. Takedown was as easy (if I recall correctly): drive out two receiver pins, pull out the trigger group, then remove the fore end screw and slide out the barrel assembly. Not much to it.

Got one, and a couple of it's ancestors, the 550-1.  Very accurate for a hunting grade rifle, digests about anything you feed it.  Some will cycle CCI CB Longs semi auto, almost noiseless.  Some of the newer 552s have a Monte Carlo stock that some folks don't like- comb sits too high for iron sights, about right for scope.  Understand they have now gone back to a straight stock.  Been making those since 1957.

I have a 552 “Gallery Special “ with a Lyman peep sight. It shoots shorts only. It’s a blast to shoot!

Do NOT confuse it with the Remington Viper 552 which is a piece of junk.

I  have a 552 and a 572( pump version ) like both but really have not shot them more than a few times when I bought them many many years ago  I truly like the looks  and feel they seem to be more a big rifle feel to them I have a few ruger 10-22"s I shoot more than any other 22  I have
my trouble /obsession  :o  and terrible habit  every time I shoot a gun no matter what it is I  I  feel the need to completely take it all  the way down to clean it  not just run a brush thru the barrel and wipe down the out side   I would wear out a gun cleaning it well before shooting it   especially a 22  the ruger's are so basic and make it too easy to clean so the Remington's and others I have  get side tracked a lot  .  ( I know no need  every single time but like  trying to eat only one  potato chip I cant stop when cleaning a gun )
