    I sat next to him in a bar in Green Bay one time, and I asked him for an autograph. He said no he was just relaxing. A friend of mine laughed and said he would get one. He told him he wanted it for his young son. He didnt even quibble, just signed it and smiled.

    I was at a club in St. Louis back in 1963 and was seated a couple of tables away from him and Alex Karras. That was the year they were banned from the NFL. Sure wish I would have asked for an autograph from both. Karras was a scary big site to a 23 year old kid from Indy!
