For the first time in 22 years, I dropped DSL, for my ISP, and went with Cspire fiber optic. My speed went from 10 Mbps to 801 Mbps (download) and 938 Mbps (upload). Unbelievable!

Our neighborhood is on pole-hung copper cable originally for cable TV (Comcast, now XFinity) and there's no plan by them to ever change it. It's modanuff for my needs, thankfully. I can stream vids without buffering, so no need for any more speed, realistically.Just checked: download at 26.3 megawhozits
I have hughes net which is barely a adequate satellite service. Century link installed fiber optic one mile down the road, but won't connect me to it. Maybe it's becasuse I told them t stick it where the sun don't shine when we dumped their lousy phone service and switched to satellite.
I noticed your pen is writing a lot faster now.......
maybe so but I can't read any faster........
I’d bet the Liberal ran craphole cities have fiber optic cable ran to every tenament.
Around 10+ years ago my little town installed fiber optic phone service for everyone. They also offered an internet option. I went from dial-up (anyone remember that?) to fiber optic. WOW
Up here on the mountain my Internet comes over a radio signal, and highest speeds are 7mbps. Totally adequate.
