How to ship ammo to a private buyer in California?

I recently sold some ammo and despite my description stating NO ammo sales to California some joker bid anyway.....
Im not going to just send the ammo to him, as I know that is illegal. It doesn't matter that im based in NC, im not risking anything.
It is my understanding that he/she must have an 03 FFL and a "COE" to receive ammo shipments?
Either that or I have to ship to a licensed shop as I understand it.
Thanks for any help!

In point of fact, you understand the rules quite well. There are a number of lawsuits pending, but as far as I am aware, buyers in CA must meet the criteria you have outlined.
Oh yes...welcome to the forum.
Thanks for confirming that. I am going to try and work with him on this.
I have canceled auctions in the past ( other sites ) over Kaliforina residents trying to get ( after buying even with no shipping in the adds to any state deemed illegal ) me to ship 30 round mags or folding stocks to them . I hate to not do it but like most every one , I have to save my own butt and not risk it
good for you to try and work it out
sad to think what is going to happen too soon
Let Kalifornia and its residents wither on the vine of communism.
Some of us are stuck. Shewhomustbeobeyed has some problem with leaving the kids & grand-kids. My problem is not with buying ammo but selling it. I have been selling off quite a few of my guns & I am stuck with quite a bit of ammo for them. How do I legally sell it?
Sometimes shewhomustbeobeyed needs a dose of loving guiding common sense from hewhopaysthebills. Get out of CA, YESTERDAY.
