Electrical/Electronics Guys....Zener Diode Question

This is a zener diode from a Miller welder. I looked on the 'net, and "they" are testing a zener the same as a regular diode. Those tests show it's bad, open both directions. How do I decipher the numbers to find a like sized diode? TIA for any input.

Type in your model number and parts will show up, if your googlefuu is good
zeners are used mostly for voltage regulators and will test open both directions if the breakdown voltage is not reached to make it conduct. i could not find that particular number for a replacement. i think i would look up parts for the specific miller welder model you have and find the correct diode that way. diode part numbers usually start with a 1N. there is a diode with the part number of 1N361 but i think i would explore trying to find a Miller number.
What model Miller?
It's a Miller Big D4 from the '70s. I don't usually get much when I try looking up those old model numbers, but I'll give it a shot. I think it's the same welding generator as the Miller Big 40, except it's driven by a Perkins Diesel, instead of a Continental(?) gas.
Can you find a similar spec zener diode from somewhere like Mouser Electronics?
That is pretty much what those guys do- but full disclosure- I have never bought one individual component from them, we get them by the reel.
Perhaps contact Miller.
Here is a list of owners manuals depending on your serial #. They have schematics and some part #'s. Might get you closer. Or just call Miller and talk to a tech.
