Would this make Swiss Cheese out of a Deer

Yes, it would. I knew several guys who hunted deer with the Win Mag.
Good God I was hunting with a 30 06 and that was overkill for the whitetail. I guess the Win Mag would come in handy if you were up in a tree stand, and a Georgia grizzly bear attacked.
Oh yeah, there are no grizzly in Georgia.
Not sure, but at $9.50 per round I can shoot my deer 4 times for less cost with Federal Fusions and that would make Swiss cheese for sure. Bob
Well, it's gonna leave a small exit hole, and another through whatever is beyond the deer.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
“The Styx Action (and Final) rounds are specially designed to transfer maximum energy in the first few inches after hitting a soft target and to reduce the risk of over-penetration...”
Pfft. My .270 Winchester reloads will do that.
We had a noob show up at our lease this season with a 338! C'mon Man! These are Arkansas deer, the heaviest ones are 200-220 lb, and those are corn fattened! At least he won't have to gut the poor little things. If it knocks him out of his stand, I hope he doesn't break too many bones.
Good grief, that's some pricey ammo!
I knew someone would see the price. Just bought some Serbian 180's for a little over a buck a shot. PPU makes some hot ammo that kills deer
Just in case they are behind a tree... just shoot the tree.
I've shot whitetails with a 338 Mag.
No excessive damage. Not enough animal there to open up the bullet, is my suspicion.
But it will ruin the shoulder of a moose.
Never tried their 300 mag. I switched to the Fusions after I blew up the Winchester combined technology bullets (Nosler) in a couple of big Montana White tails. Recovered 2 of the Fusion rounds under the skin on the off side of two deer and they expanded perfectly with 90+% weight retention. Bob
one shot,no. multiple shots,yes.
