There have been a couple of them in the area lately. Mainly they are near the lake across the road or in the woods near my neighbor's. This one landed in the yard near an apple tree and was looking around. I was able to go out the front door and take a few pics from behind the corner of the house.......a large group of starlings flew into the yard and the eagle flew away.....
I always enjoy seeing them this time of year !

There are 3 nests across the lake from us. One is on a golf course! Been around for years. Great to see they are making a come back.

On my way to work on a tree stand, I noticed one standing guard over my sons deer guy pile.

I'm in Alaska and a pair has a nest within 50 feet of my house. I love watching them, especially when they catch fish in the ocean.
Saw 3 last week up in LaSalle County Illinois within a mile of the Fox River. Seeing a lot of hawks right now.
