What Is Drop Box?

nunnnunn Forums Admins, Member, Moderator Posts: 36,085 ******

I get emails stating I have a message in Drop Box. I try to review the message, and a page pops up asking for my Yahoo Mail user name and password.

Is this legit or phishing?

    Delete it. It's a phishing scam...or worse.

Drop Box is legitimate, but it is a service used to download documents; typically documents that a larger than the typical email server will allow.

An email stating you have a message in Drop Box is, as Mark has stated, something not to open.

Drop box is great I have three lap tops along with cell that are all synced together regardless of which machine I use to update or create docs. If you every had a hard drive fail no biggie drop box is cloud storage.

As for the links if unsolicited leave em be but as Don mentioned also great way to share large files. I deal with architects and engineers and often need to share blueprints that are too big to Email.

I'm more familiar with, "Oops, dropped box!".

    I'm voting, SCAM.

I can't believe they misspelled "Pork and Beans!"
