Likely it's a Century Arms, "Wasr". The receivers are made by Century here in the states to comply U.S. 922 (r). Anytime you got anything from Century it's a crap shoot.

Because of whats happened in this country in the last 12 months. Many folks are scared poopless and believe things can only get worst. Because of this they want to get their hands on anything that will shoot. No matter your Century Wasr could be a total piece of crap. You still probably triple the money you originally payed for it, with no problem at all.

If your fixing to keep it? Make sure it at least works. If you ever need it for SHTF, and it doesn't work. Your between a rock and a hard place.

It shoots pie tins at 100 yards pretty well. Just been awhile. Right side of receiver "MADE BY CN ROMARM SA/CUGIR in ROMANIA, IMPORTED CAI GEORGIA VT." Left side: Sr#, GP WASR-10/63, Cal. 7 .62X39mm. Does this help? Thanks again

Long as it works, and reliable all it matters. "CAI" is Century Arms Incorporated. I guess that Georgia is a town in Vermont, where they were located? "WASR" was just name that Century used for their Romanian AK's, far as i know. Maybe your receiver was actually made in Romania not in the US? Could be it was one of them that Century imported, that were made specifically for single stack 10 round magazines. That they later reworked to take standard hi-cap AK magazines.

    Spot on, Snowman.

They were imported aa single stack and then had their magazine wells widened once the correct number of US parts were added to make it compliant. Depending on which blind money modified the mag well, feeding is often an issue, but it sounds ashough the rifle in question feeds and functions fine. The wooden pistol grip is unusual as most have plastic PGs of various colors. There are roughly four dozen Romanian AK's listed on the auction side, though not all are from Century Arms.
