what do you know about these rifles?
are they good? bad?
how do they compare to Marlin 60 or Ruger 10-22 ? (only 22's I have owned)
Comments
I have the synthetic model they feel kinda cheap but as far as reliablty and accuracy I have no complaints
made in Canada
Yep Lakefield Canada
I have a Marlin 60 the Marlin feels better made to me. But the Savage maybe be slightly more accurate and less picky about ammo
I have the Savage bolt-action. I bought it because it's bolt-action (should handle subsonics) and had a threaded muzzle.
It will not extract fired brass about half the time!
I have heard several theories of the problem but I have not seen a fix.
I will avoid Savage products unless they step up and fix their guns.
They are way better than most, the model 60 is like Volkswagons there are millions of them out there ..... because they are really good little rifles,
Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the three but IMHO no one makes a better .22 rifle than Savage.
thanks guys
