My daughter wants a pistol for Christmas but she is 20. In Texas is she legally allowed to own it. I know she can’t buy it but can I give it to her? Thanks Tim

The 21 year age limit applies only to handgun sales from a licensed firearms dealer. A private citizen in Texas may sell or give a handgun to any Texas resident over 18 who is not Felon.
So she can legally take it out shooting without me? I just don’t want her in any trouble.
As far as I know, Texas has no laws regarding possession of firearms based on a persons age; so long as it is for lawful purposes: hunting, target shooting, fishing (for those overly aggressive bass), ect.
Thanks Mark
Mark nailed it.
