I plan to sell a decent rifle w/scope and ship it USPS and insure it for 1200. Can anyone tell me what that costs for an approximation of 15 lbs. total?

I would guess around $50.00
Thank you sir.
Depends on how far. Insurance will be about $20.00 and the 15 lbs will be around $30.00
i would use a different shipper the post office is screwed right now
I will not ship until Jan. or later. Always had real good luck and relations with my Postal folks. I haven't shipped a rifle since 2014.
I just received a gun from about 300 miles away and it took seven days to get here, using priority mail. The address was very clear so I have no idea what is going on. I think the total of around $ 50 to send your gun will be real close.
Then you got lucky, seven days is QUICK right now. And as above USPS is the "perfect storm" right now.
And yes Mike make in Jan. for USPS shipping, good call.
It depends on where you are, and where it's going. I just shipped one from Oregon to Florida, insured for $1300, and it was $67.
Guys- It doesn't seem to matter, when I have a problem, if I ask for help on the Gunbroker site, somebody always helps me out. A big thanks to all of you and have a great Christmas and a "normal" New Year.
