I am new to gun broker and am looking for ammo to purchase .I bid on some ammo and the add said box of 3 so is my offer I submitted for the 3 box lot or would my offer go times 3 since there were three boxes I bid on.after my bid I got a statement where it was the bid price times the quantity so I am confused to how this works.like I said I just got on and I want to to things right and not cause anyone no problems.

I am easily confused so your post has me scratching my head a bit. If you could give us a link to the auction you are bidding on maybe we could give you an educated answer.
Oh, I almost forgot -welcome to the forums. Bob
Your wording has left me totally confused. Post a link to the auction, or provide the auction number, so that we can read for ourselves what the listing actually said.
I have been to auctions (not GB) where there are multiples of an item.
Since a buyer may only want 1 of the items it is bid for 1 item. However, the winning bidder is allowed to multiply his winning bid by the number of items he wishes to purchase.
Usually, if the winning bidder does not take all the items, they are offered to the next bidder, (at the bid price) then the next bidder, etc. until all items are sold or no more buyers are interested.
That what it sounds like here.
Looks like we need to see the auction to answer your question. On another note, if the auction isn't clear on what and how much is being sold I would pass to the next one. There shouldn't be a guessing game going on.
Thank you. It's a fixed price auction:
