I have that same scope on a prairie dog gun. I got it just after Leopold went from the Vari-x series to the VX designation. It is the only III series scope I have and I only bought it because of the great closeout price I got. It made quite a few trips with me to exterminate pdogs and has worked extremely well. I think you are going to like your new scope. Bob
