When you think it can't get any worse it can and it will! At least it does for us.

Especially this year. I've never seen anything like it. I think we've had some type of witchcraft spell put on us. My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the lungs that spread to the spine that required spine surgery in October. Then the surgery caused her to have blood clots in the lungs which lead to 2 strokes and 2 weeks in the ICU and about 6 weeks total in the hospital.

Then our youngest son's wife out in Seattle comes down with similar pain in her shoulders and arms as my wife a few weeks ago while we were still in the hospital and now she can't lift her arms above her waist. She had an MRI day before yesterday and we're awaiting the results from that. Hopefully it's nerve damage or something like that and not cancer.

Then 2 weeks ago I'm helping my wife change her night gown and I turned around to pick up a clean one off of the table and she passes out and hits the floor hard. That required another 5 days in the hospital running test and trying to control her pain. By the grace of god she didn't break anything or hit her head. She ended up with a big bruise from her left hip to her ankle now. The only good thing that came out of this hospital stay was they were able to fix her throat that's been closing up due to the radiation treatments. They were able to perform a procedure on her to expand it so she can eat and breath much better now.

Then day before yesterday my sister calls me from my 90 year old mom's doctor's office to let me know that mom almost choked to death while taking some pills. The coughing from this has damaged her vocal cords and she can barely speak over a whisper now.

Then the news got even worse. Night before last I found out that our oldest son that lives in Knoxville and his wife both have come down with the China Flu. It has hit him pretty hard but he's feeling better today than yesterday and his wife seems to be doing better than he is.

I dread waking up tomorrow, that is, if I'm even lucky enough to actually go to sleep tonight.
