Just did a search for the above ammo and found one listing for a single box. What gives?

Just ran and seen 183 listings
Maybe you should vary how you type in your search term. I typed in just 7.62x54 ammo and got quite a few hits but only 18 were 7.62x54R ammo. But that is 18 times more than you got.😀 Bob

Try searching on Gunbroker.com. No one sells it via the forums.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Looks there is a ton of this out there at about $220/can for the old 70s era "spam" cans.
This used to be THE cheapest rifle round out there.
I bought three cans of this after Obama got elected in 2012 at about $80/can, figuring there was no way prices on this wouldn't go up and I'd regret it later if I didn't buy some. Looks like that was about right.
BTW, most of the surplus stuff has steel cores and has ridiculous penetration. Took it to the range once to test it out; see below for what it did to three thick hardcover books. Bullets also literally shot through a telephone pole.
When I searched earlier I used the "ammunition-Rifle" on the auction site. You will notice some calibers are listed above that you can click on and supposedly go direct to that caliber. In doing so found what I stated. I assume there was some glitch at that time that did not so the listings of that caliber. Just tried again using this method and got the same results, one box.
Theres a bunch that have showed up on local sites now that ammo is above the ceiling. Dollar a round for silver bear more for spam cans of surplus....
