Saw this in the news. First, he has some big ones just to get that close. The tangled deer were not out of energy when he tossed the blanket. Second, amazing shot with a pistol under adrenaline pumping moment.

Good shot Officer!
Only word....WOW..
He used a Glock too.
They sure didn't stick around to say thanks.
hard to believe he shot the horn off without knocking out the deer, I have a fellow I hunt with shot a nice buck one year and put a perfect hole in base of horn, dang thing came back to life on him as he rolled it over to gut it, stood up and just staggered around long enough for him to shoot it again, but it was knocked silly from the horn shot......... or at least the one who runs to the right looks like it only has one horn left, could be mistaken
I actually unintentionally shot the antler off a huge 8 pointer with a 12 gauge slug
He dropped like a rock at the shot.
As I was walking up to him he got up much to my surprise.
After I shot him again and dropped him for good, much to my surprise he had one main beam missing.
I went back to where I hit him first and found most of his rack.
I just can’t see how it wouldn’t concuss at least one of the bucks if not both.
incredible
WOW!!
