my 27yo daughter and 35yo son were here visiting today and for some reason started cleaning out one of the storage sheds. they came to me with this piece of pottery and ask what it was. my wifes parents were big into ceramics having their own mud room and kiln, but them being from Utah what else do you do in the winter. anyway i looked at it and ask "seriously, you two dont know what this is" it was an ashtray. how times have changed.

I retired a few years ago but still work a day or two a week.I was clocking in the other morning and I heard a pretty young lady behind me tell the security guy"I forgot my badge this morning but my wife is bringing it to me.". That may be normal some places and I know it was none of my business but it made me think about how times have changed.
One lady I know has five school age children. She said that some day she would be explaining to her grandkids what an all you can eat buffet was.
One of the grandkids was probing around on a closet shelf looking for an old sweatshirt I told him was up there. He came to me with an old wood screw style "hat stretcher"!! I told him what it was used for and he just turned around and walked out of the room😆
My current car doesn't even have an ashtray............or a cigarette lighter, but it has the 12v socket.
And for the better in this case!
