On the deck but I can't complain when it makes it easier to finish my daily Easter egg hunt. This is a four day haul. I have eight hens at the moment.
Second pic is what I threw together the other night from a dozen butt nuggets. Slice of pepperoni on the bottom, feta cheese, bell pepper and harissa for seasoning.

I only have 2 young hens that I raised from chicks recently, one started laying last week, but her eggs are small would take about 4 of them to been equivalent to a couple of store bought, the other girl hasn't started to lay yet, maybe today...
I'm envious!
There was a farmer next door (down the road a piece) to the shop where I was in Georgia. His wife raised chickens and she usually had some extra eggs left over at the end of her selling week. Most were smaller than the store bought variety but these came in a selection of shell colors, even a bluish version. They are free range chickens so the shell colors continue to vary. The yolks though are the deepest yellow-orange I've seen since I was on the farm. And taste? OMG, wonderful and a real treat for Sunday morning breakfast.
Best.
I have to agree! Free range farm fresh eggs are soooooo much better than store bought eggs and are worth double the price! And I'm willing to pay for them.
That's a tasty looking haul you got there.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
the chicks my wife bought back late summer are now cranking out 12 to 13 eggs a day . however we eat about a dozen maybe 20 counting used for baking a month ..
I just may try out your egg idea thanks
I forgot that I did add a touch of whole milk as well.
Those eggs in the muffin tin? Brown up some bacon and just before it gets too stiff place it in the cup around the perimeter, then fill with egg mixture.
Yum!
One of my employees dad, many years ago had a visiting preacher over for a nights stay.
The lady of the house fixed breakfast, one of the items was beef tongue, old minister said "I don't eat nothing from an animals mouth". Dad said, "honey fix him a couple eggs"😋
Hen fruit.
It looks like eggs morning, noon and night!! I would be happy with that as I love eggs, except she who thinks she is always in control thinks eggs once a week is about perfect.
Rooster bullets
My egg supppliers chickens (small flock) all molted this Fall and no eggs ever since. Don't know if she did something wrong or there's a bird problem, but I miss those fresh eggs.
Cackle berries. Yum!
