This will affect ALL of us!

Admin and moderators I know this should probably go in GR&CL or Politics but I feel it important that everyone of us sees this and acts on it. This is HR 127 introduced by Sheila Jackson Lee and it will SEVERELY curtail our 2A rights. This is drastic!

If it gets moved I will consider myself forewarned but I think this is important enough to ALL gun owners that it should be placed where it will get viewed the maximum number of times.

Well just imagine when I go to our statehouse and tell them All to close down Hunting in SC because no one can own a firearm. Dept of Natural Resources operates in the state to manage wildlife...

The Republicans have ZERO power to stop, enact, or even comment on ANYTHING. Our country is being run by it's ENEMIES. Soon they WILL SHUT DOWN Gunbroker.com. We will all soon be criminals.

If this passes, and Joe signs it, then all hell will break loose. There will be a battle with States and Counties that are 2nd Amendment sanctuaries. Challenges will be made in court my hosts of gun interests from organizations, to stores, to owners. With hundreds of millions of guns in the US this could be a disaster. They don't have enough manpower to enforce such a thing and many LEO's and Sheriffs will not enforce it either.

...This wont go anywhere, let alone pass.

How many MILLIONS of firearms in every state? It would be virtually impossible to adhere to this MORONS bill...and the local, state, federal governments, LEO's know it. She is  just putting on  a "show" for some of her constituents,   that, is how she gets elected...

I believe the Term Limits Legislation put on the floor by Senator Ted Cruz will prevent this bill from ever being voted on. If the Dems eliminate the Filibuster to pass this and other bills they will be passing their own pink slips and will be out of office at the next midterm election. I dont believe they can get around this Legislation nor would be worth the end of their careers to pass it.

I agree completely. Who could have imagined not that long ago that the level of ignorance and utter stupidity of so many people in this country would have made it possible for Biden and Harris to win. I remember when Gary Hart was widely viewed as the front-runner for the Democrat presidential nomination until reports surfaced of an extramarital affair, and Hart withdrew from the race, now days the media wouldn't even report it or do everything in their power to protect him and people wouldn't care.

Most of them are old and filthy rich..why should they care if they get voted out..??.. they are busy trying to hurt Trump right now.. but when that is over then they will go after guns.. they have two years to pass as many gun control laws as they can..only the rich will own guns...

I can't believe the crap being pushed through congress or even attempted. I spent 22 years in the MC for this country, now they tell me I have to jump through hoops to own a firearm are ammunition. I was good enough then to have one starting at age 17......

The Dems are just waiting for the next school shooting so they can introduce more gun control legislation. They are looking for an excuse to disarm law abiding citizens who support the Constitution.

Shelia Jackson Lee Has been introducing this bill every year, nothing new. Just Hype. Now Joe Biden stopping interstate gun sales by decree is something that could happen soon enough and ask yourself why GB urrrr is ..... fill in the blanks I don't want to be banned here.

I find it rather sad that this legislation was named after a young girl that was murdered by a person that was ALREADY prohibited by existing law from POSSESSING a firearm.

There is that, and the fact that nothing in the legislation would change anything that happened that day other than, maybe, forcing Remington to spend millions defending itself in court.

Obviously this is the case with most gun legislation. Absent the complete banning and confiscation of all firearms, bad actors will do bad things. This, while probably the goal, will never happen, so the obvious goal is to simply make legal ownership so difficult that most folks will just throw in the towel.

Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

The Government knows they can't take away all the guns.. But they can severely cut the flow of ammo...and it seems they are doing it right now...

"FILE - In this Feb. 25, 2019, file photo Dimitrios Pagourtzis, the Santa Fe High School teenage student accused of killing 10 people in a May 2018 shooting at the high school, is escorted by Galveston County Sheriff's Office deputies into the jury assembly room for a change of venue hearing at the Galveston County Courthouse in Galveston, Texas. Pagourtzis was able to buy more than 100 rounds of ammunition online because his age was not verified, according to an amended lawsuit filed Thursday, March 5, 2020, alleging that the website involved broke federal law. Pagourtzis was a 17-year-old junior at the time of the May 2018 shooting at Santa Fe High School. (Jennifer Reynolds/The Galveston County Daily News via AP, Pool, File)"
