I bought a copy about a month ago and just got around to looking through it. What a great reference book on all things firearms related. Yes it was written in 1947 but some of the information is still relevant and hard to find in modern sources. Lots of historical info and stories of what went on at Springfield Armory ,the real one, and Frankford Arsenal during WWII. Very entertaining reading.

Information such as that found in Chapter 7 Experiments With Barrel Obstructions, is amazing. Not only in the subject matter, but in the details of the incidents.
