IWB Holster For Springfield 3.8 XDM Elite
Hello Shooters.
While I'm not a newbie I just purchased my first firearm. A Springfield XDM Elite 3.8. Love the gun. Feels great in my hand. I like Springfield XD pistols generally. Perfect for me. Trouble is while it's a larger than your average concealed carry I don't wish to go with anything smaller. I've shot sub compacts and single stacks and they feel like toys in my harge hands. Having trouble with holsters though. I bought and returned an Urban Carry lock leather holster. Didn't fit the gun. I recently purchased an N8 Tactical professional. Holster isn't bad but prints like crazy and not easy to reholster.
Question is this. I plan on strong side carrying with an IWB at 4 O'Clock. What have you used that you liked? Kydex seems very uncomfortable for everyday. I also have friends that have been carrying their firearm by simply tucking it in their waistband, no holster. Been doing it for years with no trouble at all. To be frank I tried that at home and forgot I had the gun on me after about 5 minutes. Does anyone else just tuck it in their waistband and call it a day? I know you're not supposed to but I cannot argue how comfortable it was just after a few minutes with an almost full size pistol. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks so much for your time and consideration. Happy Shooting.

Maybe something like this...
Clipdraw Holsters is the brand name.
My son uses a Sticky Holster to carry his Springfield at the 4 o'clock position.
Check out Vedder holsters, specifically the light tuck, and rapid tuck.
Using no holster is about the dumbest way to carry I can think of. The second is those clips. If you don't have a holster that covers the trigger guard area I hope you enjoy being shot because it's bound to happen.
PHLster, Tenicor, or Bravo concealment.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Milt Sparks Summer Special is a good holster.
I like a leather holster for IWB carry.
Carrying without a proper holster is asking for trouble. For iwb Blade Tech makes a very affordable holster that doesn’t print and securely holds your gun. I use one for a S&W Shield. I carry between 3 & 4 o’clock.
I carry all day.

Thanks everyone. I agree that carrying without a secure holster is not a good idea. I appreciate the suggestions.
I can also vouch for Vedder............good choice there.
As stated- no holster is a horrible idea.
You may like the Desantis or Remora sticky holsters- they are very minimalistic but will keep the gun safe & secure.
I carry OWB with just my shirt covering the gun 99% of the time. While you may feel like you are “printing like crazy” that is really just you not being used to carrying. I have even carried on occasion an XDM 5.25 or Glock 34 and not worried at all about printing.
I also have a few Blade-Tech holsters & I think the Eclipse is a pretty affordable holster that can be IWB or OWB.
I do like the AilenGear shapeshifter because for about $100 you basically get 4 different types of holsters and you can add guns to it pretty cheap. I had an Alien-gear with my hip all wknd.
It's been a while since I was on this site. I have now 2 holsters. An N8 Tactical which is not bad and a Remora Tuckable holster. While I'll admit tucking in a shirt over the pistol is an exercise I haven't really mastered yet for me I find the Remora works for what I am look for. I wear it strong side at about 4 O'Clock. Still takes some getting used to but there are times I forget I have it. It's not a small pistol by any means but anything smaller feels like a toy in my hand. I appreciate all the suggestions. Thank you all very much.
LOL you’re a funny guy🤣
I also carry OWB with an untucked shirt.
For my XDM 10mm 4.5 I got this holster that I'm very happy with.
The gun locks in it nicely with a click.
