Remington Double Barrell 12 Ga shotgun value

Nj2021Nj2021 Member Posts: 6

I have an old shotgun from my grandfather. I am trying to find out more the model of shotgun and its value. The serial number is 125837. It has the side by side 2-barrels and to triggers\hammers. I have more pics to shared. Below are 5 pictures to help identify this shotgun. It was passed down to my grandfather, so expect the manufactured year is later 1800s or early 1900s. Thanks for any help this forum can provide.

From the serial number it is probably a Model 1894. Grade AE (lowest grade), 12 gauge. 41,194 manufactured 1894-1910 in the 100,000 block serial number range. My reference books are outdated. Five years ago value in Very Good / 80% condition was $1250. I am not knowledgeable about Remington double barrel shotguns. Be aware that the "book" value and actual selling price is usually different, especially if a dealer is buying it to resell. Hope this helps.

No expert, just looking at "Remington Double Shotguns" by Semmer. Made 1902, think a B grade, a step up from a base gun, price maybe $82.50. Looks like a nice gun that was re-finished. I don't know current value.
