First Auction

Hi all. I’m planning to list a couple guns for my first auction. I notice some auctions will not sell to California, NY city, D.C. I was hoping someone could tell me why that is and should I do the same. Any other advice for a first time seller would be welcome too. Kind regards.

Depends on what you are selling. High cap pistols, rifles ect are banned in New York, CA and some others. An individual can ship to CA easier than an FFL as long as the item is legal to own. What you selling ? To get further info-
Thanks for the reply. I’m planning to list a M1 Carbine and a Glock 27. 10 round and 9 round mags, respectively. So maybe I’m okay to sell in those states.
I don't believe it is a smart move to limit your customer base if you are hoping to get the most out of your sales. There are people that have the ability to own items that aren't legal to everyone in certain states, so just put something in your listing saying "DO NOT BID IF NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED" or something similar so they know you aren't just sending things without investigating potential problem areas with extensive gun laws.
Great advice. Thank you
