.357 Mag. reloading question

Ive been reloading for many years, Ive got a Hornady press and Lyman dies for .38/.357. For some reason the .357 loads are very tight in my chambers? I tried everything I can think of to correct it. I reset all the dies several times. I cleaned them, lubed them, and wonder if they are wearing out. Im old and think I may be over looking something simple. Before I order new dies, any suggestions? Just a hair would really help.

Maybe you are over crimping...Back off the seat/crimp die...

It could be too much crimp and if they are lead or lead with copper plating as opposed to jacketed too much crimp can deform the bullet. You want as minimum a crimp as you can get away with on lead.
I hope you get your issue solved.
Besides the over crimping issue, the particular bullet you are using may be bulging the case a little too much.
I would measure the case at the base and mid-point of the bullet depth.
Thanks for the tips Ill check them out. J
Have to ask, chambers good and clean?
How does factory ammo do in it? If factory works OK then you may have a worn sizing die.
Do you shoot a lot of 38 in it? If so you may just need a good chamber scrubbin'.
I followed suggestions and have much improvement. Basically I think it was all in the crimping. I reset the crimp several times and I think overcrimping caused some bulging. I mostly reload .38 Special, and dont crimp them at all. When I switched to .357 I think I had a brainfart and didnt set up properly. Thanks for the help.
