Howdy Good People.
Hey guys. Just dropped by to say hey while June's asleep and tell you how we've been doing recently. June was back in the hospital night before last with terrible pain in her left leg and another MRI shows the stage 4 cancer has spread into the left leg bone and pelvis from the spine and lungs. We're back home today but it just keeps getting worse. She can't walk now without great pain. So that makes getting her in and out of bed onto the porta potty a challenge. Getting her in and out of the car is also rough.
I ordered a fold up aluminum handicap wheel chair ramp to use on the two steps leading from our kitchen door to the garage which will make getting her in the car easier. I had to carry her in from the car after getting home from the hospital last night. I used to carry her around like a rag doll when we were younger but those days are gone. She still weighs almost the same as she did back then but my old back doesn't think so and it's barking tonight.
To make matters worse our oldest son called us on Wed. and said that Corina, his wife, has a tumor in the brain that's bigger than a golf ball that extends into her sinus cavity and it's cancer along with 2 other cancerous tumors the doctor found in her neck. They are taking her to either the Mayo clinic or Duke for surgery. The doctors will decide by tomorrow exactly where they're going. This is just after she and my son recovered from the virus. Luckily the grandkids didn't catch the China flu.
We did get a couple bits of good news. Our youngest son's wife is recovering somewhat from her problems that were caused by fibromyalgia that had made her not to be able to raise either arm above her waist.
And we found out that June's younger brother, Kenny, who found out he had prostate cancer the same day June found out that she had lung and spine cancer has completed 39 rounds of radiation and the doctors think he'll be OK. That lifted June's sprits somewhat. She loves her little brother.
Kenny's next door neighbor who also had cancer found out his cancer had gotten worse and that he was not going to make it. He didn't have any insurance so they sent him home with a couple bottles of pain pills. He hanged himself the next day after he got home so his wife and kids wouldn't lose the farm due to trying to pay any further medical bills. His wife called Kenny and Kenny went over to their barn where he hung himself and cut him down.
It's been a hell of a year! All the women in my family are catching hell except for my 90 year old Mom who is going to outlive us all and I pray she does. I told her that tonight on the phone and she said "nope, no thanks, I don't want to be here alone".
Well that's about all for now. We still appreciate the prayers and well wishes that you all have sent to us. You all take it easy and be careful out there.
Greg

Greg that is tough to read. How difficult all of this is for June and you I just can't even begin to imagine.
I keep you both in my prayers and as I told the folks at the VA who were caring for me the list of people who need Miracles is so large when I pray now I add all those who are suffering along with any specific prayer requests I know of.
God Bless
