I'm not sure who dropped the ball, and it doesn't matter, but he stopped posting here, and we fell out of touch with one another.
A friend recently moved to Foley, Alabama, and visited Rick's shop. I am very glad to learn that he is still around.
That's Rick/Pelican in the center. Last I saw him, he had a beard.

I know that he's one of the Original GB crew from 1999, and that he was tight with Captain Kirk (RIP), my old boss over on Ask The Experts. I don't think that Pelican has posted in over 10 years.
Yep, I remember him posting.
Would you ask him if they have any primers?
I started reading the talk boards during late 1999. One of the first threads I opened in April of 2000 was a question about handling a feedback issue...Pelican helped me figure it out....I remember his humor and sarcasm from the early days. Good to hear he is well.
SMART MAN - Moved to Alabama (Sweet Home)
Never heard of him.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I remember him from the past. If I remember right, David, when you were out here with your first wife and sons and I got you into WDW , after you left me you were going up to see Pelican and you went out on his boat that looks like a mini tug boat. Is that the same guy?
One of the good guys.
I remember the name, nothing else. Maybe it is my age... or his.

David,
My oldest Daughter lives in Loxley Alabama. I bet her husband has been his shop a bunch. I’ll bug him about getting over there now that he is an unemployed Pipe Line worker he has a lot of time on his hands.
Loxley is just South of I-10 on the East side of Mobile Bay. I’ll have to stop by there the next time I am down there.

Good gawd, small world. Yes I remember him and had no idea he had gun shop. I went looking for that shop on the way back from Orange Beach to Meridian, MS. last October, didn't find it, wife was happy but I was bummed out.
Gives me darn good reason to go back.
