DWM Luger DOM

hello, have a DWM luger that is undated, serial # is 8176. trying to get a dom on it. any help would be great, THANKS!

    Need high quality close-up photos. Specially of any and all markings. Lugers were made in the fatherland, by many different manufacturers. Between 1900 & 1945. Not a clue, without photos of the markings.

    only markings is what looks to be a crown over a N. looks to be refinished and rebarrelled. was told that the finns didnt date theirs?

    I agree with rufe-snow that photos are necessary to determine exactly what you have. The crown over N is a commercial proof. The 4 digit serial number, GENERALLY, means it was a military pistol that was reworked for commercial sale in the USA in the 1920s. In the days when I collected Lugers these were called the 1920 Commercial. In general the characteristics were, date ground off receiver, barrel replaced with one less than 100 mm in length, caliber changed to .30 Luger. FWIW.
