got about 2-3inches of snow last night so finally got the nerve to go shovel the drive, I have a double drive a little over 50 ft long. I can only get about dozen or so passes back and forth sideways before I have to take a break, just get short of breath and have to set down for 5-10 minutes. well I must have woke the whole neighborhood up, as the young man across the street, he may be 10-12 started down a sidewalk to his garbage can. as I shoveled and sat I watched him do around their cars, then start on the neighbors house right across from me, the young man who lives there, is in the guard and just got back from afgahnistan, by this time I only had about 3-4 more passes on my drive and was out near the street.

now this you man is not real problem kid he has just never shown any respect, sort of does as he pleases, so it suprised me he was doing the neighbors drive, so I walked over and started to help him he never said a word just went to the other side and kept working, after about a dozen passes I was out of breath again and told the boy, " young man you are better at this than me, I have to go sit down and catch my breath, you're working me to hard." he just gave me a funny look and smiled. he finished as I was catching my breath about the same time my next door neighbor came out and started his, so I walked over and offered to help, he looked across the street and asked who the boy was, I told him it was the boy who lived there and he just looked at me funny, I told him that was the reason I walked over to help him I had never seen the young man do anything to help a neighbor, an just wanted to tell him he was doing a good job, about that time he crossed his yard and started doing the womans drive on the other side of his house. don't know what is really going on with him as neither neighbor is home they are both at work and doubt they are paying him to do it, but it was nice to see a young man do something nice for a change.......
