Story on Breitbart. Looks like CZ will be the new owner.
I consider this good news since CZG are gun people.

Maybe it will be good.
In my perspective Colt's biggest problem is they don't distribute their firearms. I want and buy a new Colt Mustang and would be happy to buy one on GB but I want to actually see one and hold it. Been asking for years in the gunshops if they have any new Colts or can get any and they always say no.
Colt is a stupid company and always has been with a history of making the worst decisions possible. They squandered one of the most recognizable names in the firearms business. They had the gall to send out a letter a few years back stating that if I was willing to jump through their hoops I would be allowed to continue selling their products. I told them they could take their little horsey and cram it.
Times have changed and maybe they were tired of the pressures of politicians and threw in the towel. Don't know what is coming down the highway for joe citizen but you can bet it won't be good including pressure from our own government and the foreigners doing the UN Small Arms Treaty.
Cant blame Colt brand for piss poor management and bad decisions made by people who wanted profit over quality. Even going for lucrative government contracts rather than appeasing the civilian market.
Remington, Winchester, and Marlin are others bought out by profiteers making crappy decisions destroying the brand.
When gun people like CZ buy Colt and Ruger buy Marlin, we should all be optimistic.
Read the history of Colt. Stupid decisions aren't new.
I wonder if the Colt Z40 will come back!
