Dude where have you been its been 40 and raining for the last 3 days.
record low of 19 predicted for us here on the gulf coast tonight. need to spend some time today covering the satsuma tree, outside spigots and putting a light in the well house. also need to bring up a load of wood for the fireplace in case its needed. sure glad i didnt wait to the last minute to prepare.
It's 29F and starting to snow here in northern Utah. Supposed to snow off and on through Wednesday, then one day of clear before the next long storm. We're actually well above normal temps here, compared to the record low for you folks the other side of the Rockies. The snow is more than welcome since we're still characterized as in "Exceptional Drought" conditions.
-2 and snow here in southern MO, I'd definitely prefer your weather.
10 last night and light snow this morning. Not really looking forward to the hike today, likely wait until early afternoon. Oh, and we have a lot of beach, but no smelly ocean.
Fifteen below zero for the second day in a row in wis. Snowblower refused to start. Ill wait till it warms up next week. Has hardly been above zero for weeks. Talking about up to 20 next week. Got to be hard on the animals and birds.
Been around 8 degrees all day so far with a 0 start this AM. I did a little snow clean up of my driveway yesterday and found that the deer had been foraging heavily along the driveway edges and they are hitting on my big juniper bushes at the top of the slope. I know they are having a hard time when I see this.
Hopefully if the forcast is correct things here in northern lower Michigan should start seeing temps going back to the 20's by Thursday.
66 hours now below zero. Tomorrow is the day that string is broken. Looking for 18 degrees
Got up to one today and down to 18-20 below tonight. We do have a nice 10-15 MPH breeze. Supposed to get in the 40s Friday. I feel for all the folks down South, they're not built for this. I mean their homes.
Power was out for 75 hours. 1/4" of ice brought down 3 lenghts of high voltage wires tn out area. Unfortuneately the tarp came off the wood pile & it was all damp & wet. But, between the wood stove & a vent free propane heater, we were OK as it didn't get that cold. One difference, I plugged the exhaust vent over the gas cook top. It was sucking the heat up into vent pipes in the attic. I'm also glad I opted for county water (Ken 84) & a propane on-demand hot water heater, which ran on the generator. Just waiting for the next round of bad weather on Friday.
