Wow, is all I can come up with
No way! I can see a NPB coming on.
And it is all A+ bidders running up the price. I thought maybe it was a couple of NR bidders just screwing around but instead it looks legit. Bob
I had to look A+88 he really wants that.
plain crazy who would ever guessed
all i can add, I should have bought a lot more ( well any ) powder and primers several years ago as I had not reloaded for some time I did not pick any up , but as usual the train left the station well before I got there 😪
see he is also selling primers and only $10, shipping.........
Reload32 is completely nuts... a GB buyer registered since 1-30-21, he’s made 6 reloading powder purchases for about $3,000.00... and bidding $1,700 plus for this.
Completrly nuts.
Stay safe.
56,000 grains in that 8# jug. Hodgen shows 71 grains load for 7mm Rem Mag. That's enough powder for 788 loads. Current bid is $1784. 1,784/788= 2.26.
$2.26 a round just for powder!😲
Well, that's the most insane auction I have seen.🤐
Maybe he is getting it to reload the weatherby 30-378. At the price of ammo for this round the 2.26 is cheap.

Someone needs a high colonic.
An extra $8 per pound just to ship!
Crazy! But hey , its a high enough bid that the seller probably won’t even care about being forced to pay sales tax for selling his own property. (Im assuming he is a private individual by the auction)
40 bidders!
Wow!
Gun Broker, will keep letting us get ripped off by sellers . Prices will come back down . just have to wait . I will not buy another thing on gun broker ever. If others stop buying and let the sellers get stuck with their goods. Well, so be it. I'm closing my account and hope all the sellers on gun broker drown in they're product and the only way to do that is to cut them off. This is no longer a good place for a buyer....Remember, the only way to stop a scammer, is to stop being scammed.
I have had pretty good luck picking powder up from places like Powder Valley and Retumbo is one of only a few powders that I have not caught in stock anywhere. That price is just crazy though.
Yep, when you sign up for gb, they make you give them a key to your house so they can stop by and force people to bid on stuff. Glad to see people like you, with an attitude like that leave here, we don't need/want it. Don't let the door hit you in the * on your way out....Have a great day, and tell your aunt Pelosi hello from all of us here..😘
Well, I wouldn't bid on it at any price. Seller only allows five days for payment or it will be relisted. It can take the mail longer than that to run.
You will not be missed. When the American free market works, and it does, the actual selling price is set by the buyer, not the seller. Try selling your rusted out 1998 Chevy pickup truck for $98,000 and you will get no buyers. Sell your 2021 Chevy pickup truck for $20,000 and you will have buyers with cash lined up around the block.
It is the way Capitalism works, if you don't like the price, don't buy. If someone else is willing to pay more than you are then EVERYBODY is a winner. The seller will take his money and buy something made by the Company you work for. Again, EVERYBODY wins. A successful sale is where the buyer and seller are both happy. It is a wonderful system.
Pelosi ? sounds like you know her. You must a seller. Now I know where you came up with ,it's ok to make yourself look good at the cost of those already hurting. I can see way you won't miss me or others like me. (With a brain) . Most of us are not stupid and can read between the lines of bull * ( your so called capitalism) My aunt .LOL. You may want to get a DNA test and check your blood line. The good thing about being on gun broker is the Atty. Gen. will be able to trach down the scammers when this all has settled down. I hope they put some heavy fines on gun broker. I can't wait to here the dribble that comes out of you next .
Almost forgot ; Just bought a lb. of 2460 for $38.00 and 4 boxes of 300 blk for $29.00 per box . NOT ON GUN BROKER.... From local dealers .... Don't get hammered by scum.
I do believe that you have no concept of how auctions work. If the seller had set the price at almost $1800 then I could maybe understand your beef. The bidders are the ones who drove the price that high and the one with the deepest pocket won. How did the seller scam anyone? The buyer is happy, the seller is happy, so who got hurt? I look for the best price but have no concerns or anger over this auction, why do you? Bob
Fish on!!!
I'm sure you'll one day be missed by someone, but it won't be by this crowd.
Win1873x, if you had a Winchester 1873 for sale and was asking $1,500 for it and someone offered you $5,000 for it, would you tell them, "Nah, I am good with $1,500" or would you take their $5,000 offer? Why can you not grasp that BUYERS in an auction are what are driving up the price, not the SELLERS. If the buyer had a reserve then they are in somewhat control of the selling price, but if no reserve or once the bids got higher than the reserve, then it is all on the BUYERS as to what it sells for.
See ya, Win!
That is some expensive powder. I think I'll pass.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I'm guessing you like to wear wet socks.

Someone needs a basic education on the free market/ capitalism/ price gouging concepts . Gunpowder and like wise ammunition are not necessities at this time. Although to us it may seem like they are ! THE free market sets the prices. Price gouging would be firewood dealers in Texas suddenly jumping their price from $150 a cord to $500 during this cold spell . Before you rant and rave best educate yourself mr win1873
People are panic buying . That makes them easy pray . I understand how and why it all works. Is it right ? No. Will it go on? yes. Some will say , it's the American way . Then they * about it. Americans used to stand by each other and help one another . But, not any more . Why? No clue. I'm a DAV and would very much like to see Americans stand together . For no other reason than ,it's the right thing to do. You say no one got hurt. We all got hurt . By letting it happen ,or taking part . I'm tired of paying more and getting less and don't understand why more people are not. I'm really not wanting to piss any one off. But inside my head and heart I know it's not OK. If your heart it not in the same place , you won't understand why you should stand up for yourself.
If you don't like Gunbroker, there's no need for you to be here.
Dang HPD! Ya didn't have to banninate him. He said he was gonna quit anyway!
(I bet that felt pretty good, huh?)😂
Betcha HPD ain't gonna lose any sleep over that one! Who won the pool on how long 1873 was gonna last? I for sure didn't because he was here about 2 hours longer than I figured he would be. 😁 ☺Bob
Mods must have been napping or in shock that someone would enter a post like that.
New posters just can't seem to read the directions on the box.
Sellers are NOT responsible for the shortage and high prices, free enterprise.
Buyers set the pace for auction price. Don't bid and buy then supply and demand takes over.
My 2 cents.
2cents ... you must up your bid ! 😁
Please explain to me how any seller who does a penny start is "exploiting" the buyers?? Please explain this to me as I truly don't understand how a penny start is "exploiting" anyone??
Damnation, I didn't realize you had banned him until after I asked my question. I really wanted to hear his answer because I could not figure out what it would be. The convoluted thinking of some people amaze me.
Even sellers with a buy it now at a high price don't set the buying price unless of course the bidder hits the button.
