an piggys in dat dar deep woods I would be a buyin dis here shooter. A damn fine rifle in a great caliber. I don't really know that much about a model 141 except that I always thought they looked cool.

It begs the question: why aren't you huntin them deers and piggys in dat der deep woods?
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
looks like a few more want to take it home
Cause I'm old and weak.
Agree to disagree.

You keep talkin' like dat you could pass for one o' dem dere Yoopers from Michigan, doncha know. Bob
They got Cajuns living up there in Michigan??
Remember your never to old. That's why they give you permission to hunt out of the truck.
If I could still eat deer or hog that would make for the perfect gun to hunt them.
My first hunting partner Charlie Bush from Monroe, NY was a 141 Guy. No scope, Charlie never missed a deer. Wore a cardigan sweater only even when it was freezing. Apple in one pocket and two boiled eggs in the other, Charlie was a stalker, always on the move, not a sitter most of the time like me. He hailed from Pa and we climbed a lot of Mountains in the Adirondack Forest Preserve and shot a lot of whitetails there.
One day in old hardware store in Highland Falls, NY outside West Point, happen to look up and there sat two boxes of 32 Silver Tips. I though they were part of owners collection but when I told him about my friend, the owner sold them to me. Charlie had been looking every where for them. Never saw a guy so proud when i handed him those two boxes to feed his 141. Yes sir I put the 141 right up there with my Pre 64 Model 70 FW. It is one great deer rifle.
Miss you Charlie.------------------------------------------------Ray
When I first started hunting the Northern Zone in the early sixties you could always tell what works by looking at what the old timers were carrying. Almost always you would see the 99 Savage and the 141 Remington.----------------------------------------Ray
Nope, Cajuns talk funny, not like them highly learned yoopers. Cajuns prefer alligators and cottonmouths over black fly swarms. After being the victim of the black flies I think maybe the Cajuns are on to something. 😀Bob
The first time I drove my Chevy truck out on the beach when I moved to Brigantine Island, N.J. I was surprised to see all the fisherman wearing long sleeves on a hot day. As soon as I stepped out of my truck I was attacked by swarms of the black flies. They are worse than gnats.
