Condolences... Say Hello to Dixie Toby.
So sorry it is never easy like loosing a family member
My thoughts are with you and your loss I sure you both shared a wonderfull time together
and as odd as it seems I was laying here unable to sleep my mind had drifted off to all our departed 4 legged buddies we have lost I trully miss all of them . If the rainbow bride exists it would wonderfull we will have one huge pack of friends waiting
So very sorry for your loss, I find it much harder on my soul when I lose a beloved dog than when I lose a family member or friend. My thoughts are with you.
So sorry for your loss.
Condolences, oldemagics. Prayers for you and yours.
Very sad news. They leave a big hole in our hearts.
I'm sorry for your loss
Sorry for the loss of your buddy.
Always very sad to lose our fur babies... I feel for you.
Right there with you. I'm still mourning the loss of Leo ... 3 months ago. Feels like a part of your heart has been wrenched out.
Prayers and best wishes for you, your family and Toby.
RIP
Toby
Beloved Friend
Sorry for your loss. The ones I have lost I think about often. Remember all the good times
It's so sad to lose someone who has been your best friend for years. I still get teary when I think of some of the pets that have left me, whether their lives were short or long .My 90-year-old mother-in-law took her ailing 15-year-old mixed-breed dog into the yard to do its business, as she had done countless other times, but it happened to be the Fourth of July. People were shooting off fireworks in the neighborhood, and the dog disappeared, frightened by the noise. It has never been found, despite multiple house-to-house neighborhood searches, many posters, and a $500 reward I offered for return of the dog, alive or dead. Just damned sad.
Sure as heck doesn't get any easier. Sorry for your loss Keith.
Condolences. It's so hard to lose such a good friend.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
While they are here they give all their heart to us.
When they leave they take part of ours with them.
Very sorry for your loss....
I can relate why friend. We have 6 buried along our fence line. Just something about dogs. Condolences. Never easy.
Sorry................
So sorry to hear that Keith. That's a very hard thing to deal with, as they share so much of our hearts.
This is probably a very selfish statement, but there will be no more pets in our lives. Age and devastation from losing our friend Dingo, has been a deciding factor to never go through that pain again.
May your heart heal with wonderful memories of Toby!
Lost one about 10 years ago. He was losing the battle for a few months.
I had gone to the Tulsa show. Had to drive home from Atlanta, terrible storms kept the home flight on the ground.
Got home about 3 am and wife and good friend had tried to dig a grave but electric storm had forced them to abandon the project.
An way we said never another dog, too much loss to bear, laugh if you must but they get closer than friends and family.
Went a couple months and the wife gets more and more depressed. went to doc and he prescribed another dog.
Advice for what it is worth. Just as soon as one get too ill to survive don't hesitate, go get another best friend.
The best friend you could have. They smile when you come home and they don't talk back.
Sorry for your loss. It is never easy,
I've felt that heartache too many times. So sorry you're feeling it now.
he came t us on a bitter cold night in Feb. at 4 weeks old as the mother had turned on the pups and wouldnt nurse them.
he had Alpha attitude already at that age, and energy to power a whole village !
had to use a tennis racket to get the balls to go far enough to satisfy his urge to run, and wish smart phones were around then to film the huge air, often 6-8 foot with twists, somersaults and barrel roles to grab a ball or frisbee.
the last few years of course, walks and laying near by was all he needed or wanted.
he left us on another bitter Feb. night just days from being 16 years exactly.
thank you all for the wishes, got something in my eye again...
Very, very sad. Heartbreaking.
Always sad. But I hope you get another dog soon. Cause people are better with a dog.
When we had to put our 12 year old Malamute down due to cancer, our Vet sent us a little sign that hangs in our kitchen window that says:
"WE SHARED SO MANY MOMENTS WITHOUT SAYING A WORD.
YOU SPOKE WITH YOUR EYES, LAUGHED WITH YOUR TAIL,
AND LOVED WITH YOUR HEART"

There was an error rendering this rich post.
not sure why i cant delete the post above that went wonky or edit/fix it ?
anyway, dont know if there will be any new fur babies anytime soon, Toby's "little sister" is still keeping us company.
she is "daddy's little girl" as long as mom is in the same room.
