Dodge M37 with Chrysler 251 Flathead Engine ... early 1950s vintage
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

Nice.
Is that you door gunner?
Thats great. thanks for the pic. and posting.
my uncle Fred drove a surplus one of those in the 50's in west virginia. not because he particularly wanted to, it was what he could afford. lots of people drove surplus jeeps also.
A buddy of mine collected power wagons for quite awhile, I'm not sure how many he had before he moved on to something else. My favorite was his fire truck.
Nice wheels. 😉
I'd a gone with metal fleck cherry red paint myself.
I've got a 1974 Power Wagon that has a 360 4 speed granny low. Its that cool dodge orange color.
An old shooting buddy had the same truck, only a 1977 version. It was All Wheel Drive. Dodge wanted close to $2K
to install lock out front hubs. He bought after market hubs for about $300.00 and I installed them over a long weekend.
You are correct, the Dodge Orange could be spotted a mile away. 360 motor was a bit of a dog though.
Lots of good times in that truck !
Mine is all wheel drive too. I kind of like it that way. My 360 is really dogged out but when it was running good it had plenty of power. I wish it had the 440 or even a 383 that way the distributer would be on the front where its easy to mess with😉
Isn't Power Wagon kind of a misnomer for something that has a whopping 116hp? I do like the look of the mechanic that comes with it tho. Even in my youth she was probably an option I couldn't afford. 😀 Bob
Weapons carrier.
I'll bet the spare tire on drivers was placed there for a bit body armor. That heavy duty steel rim would stop or slow down most small arms ammo.
