Took a kid hog hunting today

I took a 16 year old kid and his dad hog hunting today. He had never killed anything in his life. He shot a 200 pound sow and was very happy, grinning ear to ear. His dad was almost as excited for his son. I got a 155 pound hog that I took to our favorite processor.

Used to process all our deer ourselves. But age deferred to a processor. ALWAYS asked for the tenderloins and backstops to be packaged separately! Never hog hunted. Good for you, something he'll always remember.
No bacon from a wild hog, only farm raised because of the fat and muscle differences between them.
Thats awesome! I hope to do a hog hunt one day. In the mean time I get to hunt the furry wolf variety infesting the woods up here.
