Now What?

I purchased a rifle on GunBroker...the seller only 3 hours away. He has refused all payment types except Post Office Money Order via USPS but refuses to go to the Post Office with ID to sign for the payment. I offered to meet him at a gun store 10 miles from his address and he refuses. I've been ripped off before and this rifle is a lot of money. I don't want to lose my account on GunBroker but this transaction just gives me the creeps. I searched the Completed Items archives and found the same rifle with different item numbers listed 4 times.
Now what?

I would take my two largest meanest looking friends and go to the guy's address.
LOL...I'm a Marine...an old one for sure...but...
so he has the us postal mo but wont take to po to cash or just deposit in his bank account??
Just an update to this string. I searched the image the seller had posted on GunBroker. Google traced it to the web site of a gun store in Texas. I called them and they said the rifle was still there.
The seller refused to answer when I asked when he took the pic he posted and offered to cancel the sale.
You are very wise in the way you have done your due diligence, to prevent being scammed. Unfortunately nowadays with all the bad stuff that is going on. Not likely the postal inspectors will do anything about this clown. He will keep on getting away with his BS. Only thing you can do would be to leave negative feedback. And hope that will dissuade folks, from being screwed by this scammer.
mac10...I hadn't sent the PO Money Order...you don't get any protection unless you use their Secure MO...which has a daily limit of $2000 ...but are guaranteed.
I will be leaving some negative comments...
PLEASE, make sure you let the GB Auction side support know of the scam. They are swamped right now but they will remove fraud listings and ban the scammers for ever and ever. Nobody in the forums can help, the auctions and forums are completely separate.
I can't figure out how to connect with those folks. I've spent a bunch of time trying to figure that out.
At the bottom of virtually every GB auction page you'll find a menu:
Click on Support Page and you'll be presented with a variety of options, including opening support issues.

Thanks Fellas. I found the correct spot.
