Friend sent me a picture of a gun he is going to sell and I dont have a clue what this one is worth.Highly engraved PPK in presentation case called the Iron Cross.Beautiful gun.Any idea of the fair value?

Pre war? Wartime? Post war? factory engraved? Caliber? It all makes a huge difference.
Believe that is/ was a pistol issued by the American Historical Society when they were in that business. Thinking 80-90-s?? Value will be hard to determine. I saw one sold like 5 years ago on here for like 1600. if memory serves me correctly.
