Feedback discussion

I see some discussion on my npder thread talking about feedback and I thought that could warrant it's own discussion.

Nearly 99.9% of feedback is either an A+ or an F. Rarely is the transaction either.

We post A+ feedback for everyone but is it REALLY an A+ transaction? Likewise for buyers. I would think as a buyer if the gun was shipped timely and arrived in good shape that would normally be an A in the real world as that was expected. But say the seller knew the buyer was a veteran so he decided to throw in an extra magazine to say thanks, well that would be an A+ transaction.

Now how about the Fs? Most are probably warranted for non payment, theft, etc but sometimes they are left for such stupid things as not leaving feedback for the transaction.

One last thing to clear it up, once a NPB is filed the buyers ability to leave feedback is lost, otherwise most big sellers on here would have dozens of retaliatory feedbacks.

The one pet peeve i have is several sellers I purchased from and I got what was expected in the time expected, I provide feedback of A+ and even sent email to let them know I was happy and have provided feedback for them, do not reciprocate and provide me feedback.... that really burns my buns...

    Good feedback ideas, I think.

There were some good suggestions on the issue of NPBs and Dead Beat Sellers (DBS). Marc C , Nunn & I had some ideas on your last post.

The problem is relative to basic averages and 2 Fs in 11 can still give seller/buyer an A FB.

I have been with GB since it started and want to emphasize in the past 8 months I have seen more NPBs in the past 8 months than the rest of the 20 years GB has been in existence. GB Support is buried and way behind as a result.

Some of the suggestions were NPBs could not post FB. 2 NPS and you were gone. A NPB should count carry more weight on the members average FB score etc.

NPBs and DBSs are making life miserable for all of us.

I just got my first f from a npb and he has disputed the claim, which is a lie he paid me. they are going to take 10 days now to listen to his side. he told gb he sent payment day of auction end but i have emails that 2 weeks after he didnt respond until i filed npb on him then he says he is overnight the check.

what i am really mad about is the f he gave me - what incentive do i have as a seller when i do everything right and still get a f and gb does nothing about it?

This is quite close to a complaint about GB. Don't get this thread locked. HPD

Not to worry, I had 9 non paying bidders, all disputed my F rating It took approx 14 days, but my account was credited the GB fees. I also blocked those bidders and relisted the item again.
