Ruger MK I, II, or III reassembly easier then quick take down kit IMO Now LOL

Wife had a CWP class on Saturday and wanted to clean the pistols they used, I told her NOT to breakdown the Ruger .22 because it was a PITA to reassemble and I hadn't done it in quite some time. Well She did and spent the next 3 and a half hours trying to reassemble. Finally I turned her on to a U tube video and she got it, she actually started bragging about how easy it was LOL. Still she really appreciates the Model IV's now!
I admit I've spent some time in the shed trying so many times until it finally magically went together and I wouldn't break it back down. After she was so all fired sure about it I decided to try and broke down my MK III hunter and reassembled just like she said and I had no issues.
I had ordered a "quick strip" kit but since it still doesn't allow you to remove the grip frame from the upper I probably won't even bother.

You have to remember that you can move the hammer pawl around by pulling the trigger. It still usually takes me two or three tries before I get the pawl to hit the main spring cup. By the way, a woman showed me that years ago.
Another reason to keep her...😁

I still have a paper clip in my gun cleaning box, from the last time I broke down my MK II, 20+ years ago !

I made a "special" tool out of a paperclip for mine...........never let me down.
It's not that difficult but I still only disassemble Ruger 22 pistols when absolutely necessary.
Quite a few customers brought a box-o-parts into the shop for me to re-assemble. Personally, I sold mine when I acquired better 22s, that were easier to clean.
I have never backed down from completely taking any thing apart I own especially a firearm . some times its took me a little while to figure out how it comes apart ( pre internet or assy book days ) I remember the first time I took apart a ruger mark 1 easy part actually putting it back together not so much I do not remember for sure but i think it took me a couple days I would get frustrated and just walk away LOL but finely all the stars lined up held my mouth right and it went right back together . after that I could get it with in a few tries and have put back together a few for friends who did not have the patients .

I have heard for many years what ever you do for heavens sake never take one apart LOL putting them back together is a jig saw nightmare . I hope to find one before I kick off but the longer I wait the higher the prices go
I learned early on walk away take a break . my temper would get the best of me I would hate to guess the number of parts and especially cheap flash lights that failed me and I would launch them into the fields as far as possible . " but I am all better now " to quote a a TV show actor Gomez Adams
What? You’re supposed to clean them?
I tried to reassemble my Mark-2 last month and have a problem. Imagine that! I have it together but it isn't right. Trigger has no feel and I can't move the bolt. I looked at a couple of u-tube videos. Would you let me know what video you watched. Please don't tell any of our forum members that I can't get this thing together.

The easier way out is to just hit yourself a few times with a good sized hammer. My older Son "disassembled" his ONCE. It took me hours of frustration to re-assemble the Nylon. At the time, my fingers were still working fairly well and I'm a very experienced mechanic so was lacking neither dexterity or mechanical knowledge. The task was somewhat eased by having another specimen and a parts diagram to study during re-assembly.
