Anyone have any ideas on manufacturer? I've hunted all over Google to see any similar images as well as to try to identify the letters, coming up empty.

The pistol is Siamese (Thailand). The round symbol is a Chakra, the national symbol of Siam. the symbol that looks like an M is the number 3 and the other the number 6. This may be chambered in 8X50R or 8X52R (the standard military cartridge of Siam) they are very similar to the Russian 7.62X54R . I do not know anything about the pistol, sorry.

I'm not seeing enough barrel there for the cartridge, maybe photographed for size comparison?

I agree that the marking, (Charka), is similar to ones found on firearms used by the Siamese military. I wouldn't be convinced that the pistol? was made there though. I've seen a lot of similar strange guns, ( Khyber Pass specials). That came out of the gun shops of Darra Pakistan. You Tube has/had? a number of videos taken in Darra, and the general Khyber Pass region.

The local gunsmiths will make anything your heart desires, as long as you have the greenbacks. Because of the restrictions on military and self loading firearms. They make a lot of guns with phoney markings, to get them past various international borders.
