I bid on it but I really didn't want it, I just thought it was cool and if I could get it cheap I would. Neat gun.

I thought about it but the cracked forend kept me from bidding. Probably not an easy part to find. Actually I am surprised it didn't go for a bit more. It is rare, cool, and that is the only complete set with chokes, box, etc... that I have seen. Bob

    I agree Bob.

The cracked forend kind of put me off too. I have never seen one either with all the chokes and box but then I think that is maybe the 5th one I have seen and only one in person. I figured it would have been around 2k but it goes to show what I know.

Niche market for sure. I like you guys didn't like for forearm crack, and it was a real crack. Goes to show some of the collectables are going to go waning, imo. Did you pick up that Winchester Sam? (55)

No i passed on it. I couldn't get the guy to come down off his crazy(IMO) price. They still have it.

I was also watching it out of curiosity. I saw one years ago at the Dallas gun show, picked it up and it felt pretty good just shouldering it. Definitely a unique firearm.

As lite as it is it may have been a decent field gun loaded with 1-1/80z loads, but like I said, I'm shotgun poor.
