I will probably never shoot it but any help with this
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

45/70
well and now tryed the 45/70 405 and it went flush thanks
45/70 will drop right in, 45/70 is 2 1/10th", the 2 7/8th" is a 45/110.
Must be one of the Chinese made ones? Notice how they spell caliber. All that bat chop suey, must have affected their little brains. I think your making a wise decision, in not ever shooting it.
Rufe, that's how Sharps marked them, Shiloh Sharps did the same.
Thanks for the heads up! If it's an original Sharps or a Shiloh? Big buck high quality, both of them. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot either. With the appropriate, BP equivalent loads.
bp
I will check on 45-110 and not assume its 4570 bc a 4570 fits . thanks 2 7/8 is the consenus that stamp? thanks
45-110 Sharps is correct, all the info is in Cartridges of the World on the page for 45-90 Sharps (Straight). Brass must be thicker than 45-70 Government as the neck diameter is larger despite bullet dia. being the same.
