How do I cancel a sale and repost an item

BHfrommeBHfromme Member Posts: 1

I am the seller. The buyer and I have both agreed to cancel an order. How do I do it without risking negative feedback affecting my status on GB?

Simply do it and eat the selling fees. Otherwise it is not possible to get selling fees refunded without filing a non paying bidder report.

If the buyer agreed to cancel the order, why would he leave negative feedback?

The buyer should pay for ALL listing, selling fees and taxes., if not, you are. Not a chance I would not want to collect that if a deal was struck.

You failed to explain WHY the two of you decided to cancel the auction. All we can do is guess the best way to handle it.

I'm going to summize that BHfromme and his buyer decided to go their separate ways on the sale and declare no harm no foul. That's wonderful for them, but as far as Gun Broker is concerned the sale was complete and they want their fees. The seller can relist the item with the press of the relist button, but if he wants to avoid paying fees on the first listing he'll have to file a NPB complaint. Gentleman's agreement aside, the buyer isn't going to appreciate a black mark on his GB record and is likely to strike back with a F feedback, which is exactly what BHfromme stated that he wants to avoid.

Bottom line: no matter what games the OP and the buyer want to play with the sale, Gun Broker must receive their money, so either the seller or the buyer has to pay up.

QUESTION; why couldn't the 'seller' file a npb, and relist without leaving neg. feed-back? (or explain what happened in the feed-back).
