Wife and I decided it was time to replace the windows in our home (24 yo). $7,000 (materials and labor) for 10 new windows plus 1 specialty half-moon window in the MBR. We were both kinda surprised at the price, we expected more. Will be about 6 weeks before they'll be ready at the factory. Norandex Extreme 3000 series.

Norandex is a dang good company. If your old windows are 24 yrs old, the new ones will save you $ on heating and cooling. Money well spent.
I hope you opted for the Low-E glass for the so.east, south & so.west sides. It is well worth it. In the winter it lets the warmth of the sun in & blocks it in the summer.
Replaced ten windows years ago to double pane vinyl clad and don't regret it. Of course it was a lot cheaper as I paid around 200 bucks a window and put them in myself. Sure makes a difference from old single pane wood framed units, sound and temperature transfer.
They are ultra-low-E glass with Argon gas.
Fiberglass?
Replaced our 5 years back. Love them, no more wood. Saving of 20-25% on energy costs.
Thinking about doing the same this summer. Windows are a "bit" older than yours. At least 40, probably closer to 50- 60+ years old. The glass is "wavy?" when you look through it. If you know what that means.
Many years ago at our old place I offered to watch my sisters dog while she went on vacation. My wife and I left the dog in our house for an hour of grocery shopping. On the way home we noticed this dog running loose down our road that looked just like sis's mutt. It turned out to be sis's mutt!! 😲
That pooch slammed just about every window in our place until he finally broke through the big living room picture window! For so much damage I was quite surprised he only had a couple minor cuts and was pretty much unscathed from his escape. When talking to my sister she told me that she had forgotten to mention her dog had separation anxiety issues!!!
Anyway, a whole house of double pane vinyl windows that were not in the plans but sure were worth the costs in the end.
We replaced our windows,HVAC system and had a metal roof put on this year.Everything we replaced was about 36 years old except the HVAC and I think it was almost 30 years old.We spent a pretty good amount on the old place but considering we have not had a mortgage for the last 20 years I think it was a bargain.
You'll also get good energy savings by adding insulation. Our new (2013) home has 20" of insulation in the attic. I'm thinking of adding another 6".
Hah! You think you are good? I spent a thousand putting in sewer clean outs, and did not even get a stimulus check. I did get sewer back up in the shower though.
