Idea for a new gun; is it doable?

I've been binge watching videos on Youtube the past couple of months. One channel I visit is Forgotten Weapons and I find it interesting to see all the old firearms featured in each daily upload. One of the videos featured a 20 shot revolver with two barrels, which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqdQrpF2PmI
For some reason I find myself coming back to watch the clip again every so often and my question is this; would a modern-day version of this gun be something worth attempting to create? I envision it would include a double action trigger and i'd guess that a break action would be preferable to having to use an ejector rod 20 times for each individual shell, perhaps a transfer bar for safety.. someone else suggested having a rotating cam for a firing pin to switch between the inner and outer cylinder similar to a quad barrel Derringer, but I am not familiar with that kind of gun or how it works. Would it be better to have it chambered in 9MM to reduce size/weight or would it stick with .357 like most revolvers? Should it have round or octagonal barrels? If 20 would be too large, would it be feasible to drop down to 16 rounds instead?
I like the concept of this gun; something that combines the capacity of a semi auto with the reliability of a wheel gun. I don't know any inventors/tinkerer types personally so I wouldn't know who to bring this idea to for someone to draw a blueprint or create a prototype, so I thought i'd post the idea here on the forum to see what other people have to say.

It would be very heavy but just about anything is doable as long as you have enough money.

16 rounds of 357 or 9mm in a cylinder is going to make for a very bulky firearm, ser1987.
I look at my 7 round 686 and think about adding another circle of cartridges around it.
I would be a very heavy piece, to be sure.
On the positive side, recoil considerations would be significantly reduced.

Yep. If more rounds in a 9mm/357 revolver is what you're after, I think you'd be better off trying to refine the magazine fed revolver designs that are out there. There are a couple, the Dardick and the Landstad, the latter being undeveloped but a great concept (IMO).

I just want the concession to make the holsters for your 16 shot revolvers.............
Modern pistols are VERY reliable when cleaned and kept properly. I think they got a bad rap way back in the day, but times are different now. I would not turn around for the difference, as far as reliability. That being said, YES if given a choice i will have my 6 inch 357 mag S&W EVERY time i need it for power, accuracy, and overall ease of shooting. BUT i cannot carry it everywhere, so i have NO qualms CC my sig P938, or Taurus millennial pro 40. ZERO issues with any of these. I have seen several pistols fail, and also several REVOLVERS fail, it usually comes down to maintenance and good quality guns.
You should definitely recreate this in 357 mag to avoid the pitfalls of modern semi auto pistols.
As far as I know, the highest capacity modern day revolvers hold 10-12 rounds, but only in 22LR. So for example here is the Ruger GP100:

I still think a modern day version chambered in 9MM or .380 could keep the cylinder size down, and there are plenty of airweight alternatives if these or anything higher made it too heavy. I agree it would be something of a novelty, but we live in a world where the Cobray Terminator exists so I doubt it would be the worst firearm idea to ever be attempted.
here's an idea to bring back. Maybe a 9 shot .44 mag with maybe .410 or 28 gauge barrel.
I used to tell my clients anything is doable, the question most should ask is whether or not it's practical.
Modern semi's are every bit as reliable as a revolver provided the operator is familiar with and can handle it properly.
